Pre-Kindergarten 

Young children learn best when they can make meaningful connections across many disciplines which we achieve in our Pre-Kindergarten program. Wilder Pre-Kindergarten children are appropriately challenged in a nurturing environment. Building upon the Preschool program, we do this by:

• Incorporating art, early literacy, phonemic awareness, beginning writing practice, basic math concepts including number recognition, patterns, and simple addition/subtraction and science

• A balance of direct instruction with teacher facilitated learning ensuring that each child is met where they are developmentally with appropriate challenges encouraged

• Continuing to build self-confidence, independence, and problem- solving skills

• Teaching across several learning domains, within our monthly theme
  based curriculum
